Do I have to register as a homeschool to attend drop-off classes or attend part-time?
Yes if attending part-time or a la carte classes. All of our learners age 7 and up must be registered as homeschool students with the state of North or South Carolina. North Carolina Home school Registration is found here
If attending full-time, homeschool registration is not necessary.
What is your cancelation policy?
Accelerate Academy 30-Day Cancellation Policy
At Accelerate Academy, we are dedicated to cultivating a supportive and enriching educational experience for all of our students. We also recognize that circumstances may change. To ensure transparency and fairness for both families and our staff, the following 30-day cancellation policy applies to all enrolled students.
Notice Requirement
Families wishing to withdraw a student must provide written notice at least 30 days in advance of the intended withdrawal date. Notice should be submitted via email to: admin@accelerateacademy.org.
No Explanation Required
We do not require a specific reason for withdrawal. However, we welcome your feedback, as it helps us refine and improve our programs and services.
Effective Date
The 30-day notice period begins on the day we receive your written notice. Tuition and associated fees will remain due for the full 30 days following that date.
Tuition & Fees During Notice
All tuition and applicable fees must be paid in full throughout the 30-day notice period, regardless of whether the student continues attending during that time. No credits or prorated adjustments will be provided.
Refund Policy
All payments made toward tuition—whether monthly or paid in full for the year—are non-refundable. This includes during the notice period, as staffing and program resources are allocated based on annual enrollment.
Re-enrollment
Should you wish to re-enroll at a later date, a new application must be submitted, and applicable registration or enrollment fees may apply. Re-enrollment is subject to availability.
Questions or Support
We understand that withdrawing from a program can be a difficult decision. Our administrative team is here to support you throughout the process. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership. Your cooperation with this policy allows us to continue providing high-quality, consistent educational services to all students at Accelerate Academy.
Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?
At Accelerate Academy, we are committed to making our specialized programs accessible and affordable for all families. We understand that tuition can be a significant investment, especially for families of neurodivergent learners, and we are actively expanding the ways we can support you.
Current Funding Options (2025–2026):
Our Drop-In Classes through Reading Tutor Rx are eligible for reimbursement through the ESA+ (Education Student Accounts) Grant. Families can submit receipts for approved classes to the NCSEAA. We provide all required documentation and support to ensure your submission is successful.
Future Direct Pay & State Scholarships (2026–2027):
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Accelerate Academy will be eligible for:
- ESA+ Direct Pay (tuition paid directly to the school by the state)
- The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship
These programs may significantly reduce or even eliminate tuition for qualifying families.
In Development: Spelling to Communicate Rx Scholarship (Available 2026–2027):
We are currently in the early stages of developing a private Educational Scholarship Fund to support students using the Spelling to Communicate (S2C) method through our Spell to Communicate Rx program. We anticipate this scholarship will be available for families beginning in Fall 2026, and it will be designed to make intensive communication support more financially accessible.
Other Accepted Funding:
We gladly accept payments through NC 529 Education Savings Accounts, and our flexible payment plans are available to help families manage tuition across the year.
