The state of North Carolina requires that all home-schoolers over the age of 7 take an annual, nationally standardized test: the Woodcock-Johnson test. Dr. Denise Simonelli administers the Woodcock-Johnson Academic Achievement test at her private office Reading Tutor Rx in Ballantyne, North Carolina.
The test consists of the nine batteries of the Woodcock-Johnson. All of these are required to meet the state of North Carolina’s annual testing requirement. The nine batteries of the Woodcock-Johnson test cover the following areas:
Math Calculation
Applied Math
Spelling
Word Identification
Reading Comprehension
Grammar
Social Studies
Science
Humanities
*Fluency Testing can be added for an additional fee of $20*
Test scores will be emailed and explained following the test.
Dyslexia Screening at
Reading Tutor Rx:
The test includes all twenty batteries of the Woodcock-Johnson test and takes 3.5 – 4 hours and can be split into 2 sessions upon request.
The fee is $500, and all testing sessions must be booked directly with Dr. Simonelli.
